Our oversized Afghanistan Kilim rugs are for the rooms that can carry them. Large living rooms, open-plan spaces, dining rooms with a proper table, hallways that open onto something grand — these are the rugs that fill them without looking like they're trying too hard. Each piece is handwoven in the Maimana region of northern Afghanistan using natural wool and traditional flat-weave kilim techniques passed down through generations of weavers.

At these dimensions, the geometric patterns that define Maimana kilims read completely differently than they do on a smaller rug. There's scale to the design, rhythm across the surface, and a presence that mass-produced rugs at any size simply can't replicate. The earthy, natural colour palette works with contemporary, traditional, and eclectic interiors alike.

Every piece in this collection is unique. At oversized dimensions, expect natural colour variation — slight shifts in tone across the width and length are an inherent quality of handmade kilim work, not a defect. Each rug is one of a kind, woven by hand, and built to last for decades.
