What fits a 5 x 7 ft rug?
A 150 x 215 cm rug works in a reading corner or under a coffee table. It is too small to hold a full seating group, where an 8 x 10 ft rug (245 x 305 cm) suits most sofa and armchair groups.
How much floor to leave
Leave about 30 cm of bare floor around the edge of the rug. In a living room, the front legs of the sofa and chairs should sit on the rug.
